What if you were wise, not just smart?

In our increasingly unpredictable world, conventional playbooks and rigid thinking limit our ability to thrive. The complexity we navigate daily—from boardrooms to living rooms—calls for evolved and adaptive approaches to sense making and engaging in personal and professional settings.

At Wayfinding Wisdom, we partner with creative leaders and innovative humans to develop wiser ways of living and leading. Together, let's cultivate the creativity and courage to imagine new possibilities and navigate the challenges we face with intention and agility.

About Our Founder

Alice Chen (MEdT, CPC) brings over 15 years of experience supporting values-driven humans to navigate complexity with authenticity and impact.

Drawing from her diverse background in education, community organizing, organizational development and the arts—alongside her lifelong study of Polynesian wayfinding—Alice's approach to human development blends ancient wisdom traditions with cutting-edge leadership practices, infused with creative insights drawn from literature, poetry, theatre, visual arts, and design.

Her orientation particularly resonates with creative seekers, women, leaders of color, and third culture individuals seeking to lead from their full, integrated selves.

“When people come together around a common vision, they can accomplish great things. We need the instruments that pull our people together, not apart.”

— Nainoa Thompson, Hawaiian Master Navigator

The Wayfinding Approach:

Six Dimensions of Wisdom-Led Leadership

  • #1 Connecting to Your Inner Compass

Some call this "intuition" and "gut feeling"; others call it "inner knowing." We call it the internal navigation system that guides you when maps and strategies fall short.

  • #2 Developing Attunement, Discernment & Discipline

Some call this "nuanced attention" and "focused awareness"; others call it "sustained commitment." We call it the essential skills that allow you to read subtle signals and make clear choices amid complexity.

  • #3 Embracing Exploration & Emergence

Some call this "creative discovery" and "adaptive learning"; others call it "iterative process." We call it the courage to venture into uncharted waters and work creatively with what unfolds.

  • #4 Navigating By Multiple Constellations

Some call this "systems thinking" and "inclusive leadership"; others call it "360-degree vision." We call it the capacity to see patterns and possibilities that emerge when we honor diverse perspectives.

  • #5 Cultivating Authentic Connection

Some call this "emotional intelligence" and "relationship building"; others call it "empathetic leadership." We call it the art of creating spaces and communities where trust flourishes, differences are honored, and collective wisdom can emerge through genuine dialogue.

  • #6 Taking Wise Action

Some call this "strategic execution" and "adaptability"; others call it "mindful leadership." We call it moving forward with intention while remaining responsive to what's emerging around you.
