WORK WITH ALICE
Leadership Coaching
If you’re a leader in your work or life and looking for a coach who can support you in navigating the complexity of your personal and professional world with more confidence and skill, I offer one on one and small group coaching to do just this. As a coach, my goal is to support you in maturing as a leader and a human being so that you can respond rather than react to whatever you’re experiencing in your life. Through our work together, you’ll learn to more deftly sail towards whatever is next on your horizon, grow your perspective and perception, and develop new lenses, practices, and skills that will make you a more artful and embodied navigator of modern day life.
While I coach individuals of all backgrounds, given my own background and life experiences, I find particular joy and alignment in supporting leaders from non traditional backgrounds (ex: leaders of color, immigrants, multiracial folx, first generation college graduates, etc.).

Coach Mentoring & Development
Most coach training programs and professional development offer tools and frameworks absent of a deeper conversation on socio-historical context, systemic pressures, and how socializing forces like race, gender, class, culture, sexuality, etc. shape how each of us develops and experiences life, who we become and who we are called to be. This results in coaching tools and processes being framed and applied in ways that perpetuate harm against the most vulnerable among us and reify systems of injustice. It leads to coaches of color and other non-traditional identities opting out of coach training or feeling underdeveloped and limit the diversity of leaders who have access to quality coaching.
As a woman of color who largely coaches leaders from non-traditional backgrounds, it’s always been important to me to be in dialogue and community with others about how we meet and honor the very real trauma people carry as a result of living and working within socio-historical systems that may not be designed for them while empowering them to navigate the world with a sense of genuine agency. When I began my coaching career years ago, I struggled to find these spaces. Now I create and hold them for others.
I offer mentor coaching (including for ICF ACC and PCC certification) to support coaches in identifying, modifying, and designing coaching tools, frameworks, and practices that both acknowledge their own socialized identity, and affirm the unique socio-historical identities and systemic challenges of those they work with. Workshops & Speaking Engagements
I design and lead workshops and learning experiences that support leaders in living more creative, confident, and joyful lives. Everything I design is grounded in research about how adults learn & grow and are informed by systems thinking, the relationship between equity & unity, and trauma-informed practices.
As I design new learning experiences, I share them with my community. I’m also always up for the challenge of designing something unique for a group of people who I admire and respect, so if you or your organization are looking for a speaker or workshop that will support your staff to navigate the complexity of the modern world more skillfully and artfully, reach out here, and let’s brainstorm what might be possible.
Professional Development Design & Facilitation Support
Like so many of us, I’m an experiential learner. I learn by interacting and experimenting, and frankly, I’m easily bored. For me, bad professional development is one of the most painful experiences…and there’s so much of it out there. You know what I mean – professional development that is billed as a “learning experience” but ends up being a passive, long-winded, sage on stage meeting that lasts much longer than it should.
As a former elementary school teacher, I learned early on how to capture the attention of those with very short attention spans and keep it – even around content that wasn’t very interesting. Now, designing and leading engaging meetings and experiential learning experiences that are provocative, joyful, right-sized, and grounded in research about how adults ACTUALLY learn is my jam! If you’re looking for support to make your meetings or learning experiences more impactful, efficient, and engaging, reach out. I’ll get into your content with you and help you create an experience that your audience will walk away saying, “That was a great use of my time!”
